Ruchira Kamboj is India's next permanent rep at UNESCO

Ruchira Kamboj, currently chief of protocol in the ministry of external affairs, has been appointed India's next Permanent Representative to UNESCO at Paris with the rank of ambassador, it was announced Wednesday.

An Indian Foreign Service official of 1987 batch, Kamboj will succeed V.S. Oberoi. She is to take up her assignment shortly, a ministry statement said.
