Ruia Group is interested in setting up a plant for manufacturing railway coaches in Telangana, its chairman Pawan Kumar Ruia conveyed to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Thursday.
The modern and state of the art plant is proposed in collaboration with one of the largest coach manufacturing company of the world based out of Europe.
Ruia also mentioned about their interest to develop a smart city near the financial district in Hyderabad, according to a statement from the chief minister's office.
The chief minister told Ruia and other executive accompanying him that the world's largest Metro project is coming up in Hyderabad and it will be further expanded.
KCR, as the chief minister is popularly known, asked the officers concerned to hold detailed discussions with Ruia officials about their proposal and find out their requirements.
