AAP activists on Saturday held a protest march here demanding the sacking of union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley over the alleged financial bungling in Delhi's cricket board, a party leader said.
The Aam Aadmi Party said Jaitley, as the then head of the Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA), was involved in a multi-crore rupee scam.
The party urged President Pranab Mukherjee to sack Jaitley immediately, saying Prime Minister Narendra Modi was "protecting" his minister.
The AAP workers, including a few women volunteers, gathered at the party office near Rajiv Chowk on the Delhi-Gurgaon expressway.
Holding banners in their hands, the protesters marched towards the Gurgaon deputy commissioner's office at the mini-secretariat.
They shouted anti-government slogans, accusing Modi of not taking any action against Jaitley.
The protesters handed over a memorandum to district development and panchayat officer Narender Yadav to forward it to President Mukherjee.
