Actress Salma Hayek feels a "pressure" to allow her seven-year-old daughter to use social media websites.
The 48-year-old, who has a daughter named Valentina with husband Francois-Henri Pinault, is reluctant to let the youngster create profiles on photo-sharing website Instagram, socil networking site Facebook or micro-blogging site Twitter because she thinks it will make her grow up too quickly.
"It's a whole new world. I'm trying to stay away from it as long as I can, but there's pressure because all of the other girls are getting phones, and they all want what the other has in school. They don't feel like they're part of the gang if they don't have the same apps," usmagazine.com quoted Hayek as saying.
"She wants deadlines for everything, 'When do I get a phone, When do I get to wear make-up, When do I...?' I'm like, 'jeez'. I beg her to stop and just enjoy what she can do now," she added.
