Samuthirakani to play don in Vishal's next

Actor-filmmaker Samuthirakani, who has mostly played character roles, will be seen essaying a full-length role of a Madurai-based don in actor Vishal Krishna Reddy's yet untitled Tamil film.

Samuthirakani, who was seen in Tamil films like "Saattai" and "Poraali", is said to undergo a make-over to play a don.

"The story is set against Madurai, and Samuthirakani plays the local don. He's expected to undergo a make-over for the role. Director Suseenthiran was impressed with Samuthirakani's recent roles and he felt he'd be perfect for this role," a source from the film's unit told IANS.

Vishal will be seen as an undercover police officer in the film, which also stars Kajal Aggarwal.

The film, which went on floors a couple of weeks ago, marks the second time collaboration of Vishal and Suseenthiran after "Pandiya Naadu".
