Actor-director Samuthirakani had wished to direct Sivakarthikeyan in a police story but the latter had already signed upcoming Tamil police drama "Kaaki Sattai" and missed an opportunity to work with him.
"Post 'Ethir Neechal', director Samuthirakani wanted to direct me. He wished to see me in khaki first but I had already signed 'Kaaki Sattai' by then. I'm sure it would've been wonderful to work with him but I missed the opportunity," Sivakarthikeyan told IANS.
Soon after "Ethir Neechal", the team involved in its making decided to collaborate.
A"Kaaki Sattai", which is slated for Feb 27 release, is directed by R.S Durai Senthil Kumar, who had also directed "Ethir Neechal". Actor Dhanush is the film's producer.
Siva is currently shooting for Tamil comedy "Rajini Murugan" in the interiors of Tamil Nadu.
