Newly-appointed union Minister of State for Health Santosh Chowdhary Wednesday said she would try to implement all the schemes of the United Progressive Alliance government relating to the health sector.
"I shall try to implement all schemes of the UPA government relating to the health sector for the benefit of the people as the minister of state for health and family welfare," Chowdhary told reporters after taking charge here.
Born on Oct 5, 1944 in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, Chowdhary was first elected to the Lok Sabha from Phillaur constituency of Punjab in 1992.
She was elected again from the same constituency to the Lok Sabha in 1999.
In 2009, she was elected from Hoshiarpur constituency to the Lok Sabha.
