The principal of a Gwalior school who was on her way to Delhi to receive the President's medal on Teacher's Day was robbed of Rs.50,000 on the Samta Express on Thursday, police said.
Rekha Saxena, principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya in Gwalior, said the incident took place between Agra and Mathura when a man posing as a hawker knocked her out with some chemical and fled with her purse.
Saxena is now warded in the Moolchand Hospital. "Investigations are on to nab the robber," a police officer said.
