Michael Schumacher's agent Sabine Kehm has said that the Formula 1 legend is "making progress" but added that people "must always keep the seriousness of his injuries in mind".

Schumacher suffered severe head injuries in a skiing accident in Meribel, France, in December 2013. He spent several months in coma in the French town of Grenoble but was then shifted to a Swiss hospital after regaining consciousness, reports express.co.uk.

He returned home here in September 2014 for further rehabilitation. His family have imposed a near-total news blackout on the care he is receiving at his mansion.

The costs surrounding his health are reportedly to be around 10 million pounds with his family spending around 100,000 pounds a week.

His two million-pound holiday home in Norway was sold earlier this year and his wife Corinna is also believed to have sold his private jet for 25 million pounds.

Schumacher was skiing with his 14-year-old son in an off-piste area when he crashed in to a concealed rock.

The German great won a record seven world titles and 91 F1 races but retired from the sport in 2012 after an attempted comeback ended in disappointment.
