Not-for-profit organisation Security Watch India Friday said that it will be organising the sixth edition of 'Secure Cities 2014' conference and exposition from Sep 10-11 in New Delhi.
According to the organisation, the aim of the event is to bring the key stakeholders in the internal security domain onto a common platform in Delhi.
This year's event is being organised with the support of Department of Electronics and Information Technology and National Critical Information Infrastructure Protection Centre (NCIIPC), Government of India.
The event every year brings together senior police officers from various states and officials from the Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Communications & IT, National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO), National Investigation Agency (NIA), Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) and all central armed police and paramilitary forces.
The platform provides an opportunity for the officials to share their practical and unique experiences as well as the best practices to make our cities and citizens more safe and secure, Security Watch India said.
The event also hosts the most comprehensive showcase of technology, equipment and services designed to protect cities, crowded places, critical national infrastructure including big industrial units, companies, assets and individuals from various kinds of security threats.
"The event brings both focus and clarity to the complex and multifaceted task of protecting people and assets from the threats presented by terrorism and organized crimes," the not-for-profit organisation said.
