Singer Selena Gomez considers Taylor Swift "a sister" after a friendship of eight years.
Asked about her friendship, Gomez said: "She's like a sister to me."
The 23-year-old singer had said that the duo formed a close bond when they dated brothers Nick and Joe Jonas.
"Taylor and I dated Jonas bothers together. We met when she was 18. I was 15 or 16. She was so great to me. Then we became best friends. She would fly out to see me when I was going through something really hard. We'd eat a lot of fattening food and vent," she told Vogue magazine, reports femalefirst.co.uk.
Gomez praised Swift for encouraging her to be more open and helping her to make more friends in the industry.
"Taylor is a lot more trusting than I am. I have trust issues, given my situation. She's very open, so she brings out this other side of me," she said.
