Seven thieves have been arrested and 38 vehicles recovered in the past three days in the national capital, police said on Saturday.
"We arrested the seven accused from three separate locations in east Delhi. Although they do not belong to any common gang, they are connected," Deputy Commissioner of Police Omvir Singh told IANS.
Police said that they worked out 61 cases of vehicle thefts on the basis of information provided by those arrested.
The accused have been identified as Ashutosh, Krishna, Pintu, Monu Sharma, Shivam, Sumit and Ajay.
Singh said police had been tracking the accused for a week.
"A bike costing around Rs one lakh was sold by one of the thieves for just Rs 4,000," he added.
Police are hopeful of cracking more cases after their interrogation.
