Seven persons suffered burn injuries as a cooking gas cylinder exploded in a building and triggered a blaze, a fire officer said on Friday.
"Four fire tenders rushed to the building situated near the community centre in Munirka area (in south Delhi) around 7.30 p.m. and doused the flames in two hours. The injured have been sent to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences for treatment," a senior police officer said.
There were no immediate report on what triggered the explosion of the LPG cylinder.
Four to five families reside in the said building, a portion of which collapsed due to the explosion's impact, the officer said.
Another fire was reported from a motorcycle showroom in Patparganj industrial area in east Delhi. However, there were no casualties.
