Seven persons, including a woman and two children believed to be from Nepal, were killed in a head-on collision between a tanker and a car in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, police said.
The crash occurred on the Gorakhpur-Sunauli road near Devpur village in Maharajganj district, near the Nepal border, around 2 p.m.
One seriously injured man has been sent to the Community Health Centre in Bankati, a police official told IANS. His condition remains critical.
The tanker was coming from Nepal to Gorakhpur when it rammed head-on into the car.
All the passengers in the car were reportedly from Nepal. Their identities are yet to be ascertained.
