Sevilla midfielder Ever Banega has confirmed that he will be joining Inter Milan in the next football season.
"Yes, I'm going to Inter. We already found a deal and we made everything official with the club, now it's just a matter of waiting. But my mind (at present) is on the national team," the 27-year-old was quoted as saying by football-italia.net on Monday.
"I exchanged messages with (Inter legend and club vice-president) Javier) Zanetti. He complimented me for choosing Inter, but we didn't speak about playing, we'll get on to that after the Copa America."
Banega, who has played 41 games for Argentina, joined Sevilla from Valencia in 2014 and in both the seasons, he won the Europa League. However, he said that moving to Inter Milan is a big opportunity.
"In Sevilla I was very happy. I enjoyed two spectacular years that allowed us to win the Europa League twice. We did well in the championship too," the former Boca Juniors footballer said.
"I found my former coach from Valencia, Unai Emery, and he was able to bring out the best in me. Fortunately we parted ways in friendship.
"I knew I could do well with him. I chose to leave, it was a tough decision but opportunities have to be seized."
