A sex racket running at a salon and spa here was busted and 14 persons including eight female sex workers arrested, a senior police officer said on Friday.
Acting on a tip-off, police officers raided the Senses Salon and Spa at south Kolkata's Townshend Road on Thursday evening and busted the sex racket operating under the disguise of a spa.
"During the raid, eight sex workers and six customers including the manager of the spa was arrested. They have been charged with criminal conspiracy and various sections of the Information Technology act," Joint Commissioner of Kolkata Police, Crime, Praveen Tripathi said.
"The accused persons have been produced to Alipore court on Friday," he added.
