BJP spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussian has received threat calls from a phone number from Dubai telling him to stop praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, police said Sunday.
Two calls were received by the Bharatiya Janata Party leader on his official mobile number Saturday night while he was returning from Patna.
Hussain filed a complaint at the Parliament Street police station Sunday morning.
"The first call was received at 11.30 p.m. The caller said he (Hussain) would be killed if he praises Modi," a police officer told IANS.
The caller also abused Hussain and said he should not participate in television debates, the officer said.
The mobile number was found to be from Dubai. The police were trying to trace the caller on the basis of its location.
