'Shanghai' girl grooves to item number in 'Chandi'

London-born Scarlett Wilson, who made her debut in Dibakar Banerjee's "Shanghai" in the song "Imported kamariya", has been roped in for a "mass appealing" item number in upcoming Telugu action-thriller "Chandi". The song is currently being shot here at a special set.

Scarlett has also previously done item numbers in Telugu films "Cameraman Ganga Tho Rambabu" and yet-to-be released "Yevadu".

"It's a highly energetic item number. I liked her (Scarlett) performance in the song with Pawan Kalyan. She danced with so much of grace. I'm sure our song will be one of the highlights of the film. We haven't made it dirty, but it will definitely be mass appealing," the film's director Samudra, told IANS

"It's a pub number. We are shooting for the song in a special pub set that has been erected in Ramoji Film City. We will be done with the film as soon as we finish shooting for this song," he added.

The film features veteran actor Krishnam Raju and Priyamani in the lead, while Tamil actor Sarath Kumar will be seen in an important role.
