Men can wear brogues or go for the two-toned style if being in vogue with your shoes is what they like, says an expert.

Prashanth S. Devan, founder of D'Vano, an online platform for premium elevator shoes, has shared some tips on stylish footwear that you can embrace to make a fashion statement:

* Brogues and Derbies: These beautifully classic styles are ideal for casual as well as formal events and parties. Pair these up in black or brown with slim-fit trousers and a jacket and you are sure to make your mark.

* Two-toned shoes: Two-toned shoes are sometimes just the ideal accent to a man's outfit. If worn right, these shoes can really speak volumes about your fashion sensibilities.

Stick to two tones of the same family, such as a tan and a dark brown. Infuse vitality and variety through differing textures for both colours. Alternatively, if you pick a pair with two contrasting colours, make sure one of the colours is the same as that in your apparel.

* Oxfords: Oxfords will forever remain relevant and appropriate. Go for a trendier upgrade in novel hues for Oxfords such as burgundy or smooth chocolate brown. To make it snazzier, you could opt for lace-ups with slight riveting on the sides. Combine these spruced up Oxfords with chinos and a well-fitting jacket and you do not need much else to stand out in the crowds.
