Shuttler Abhishek Yelegar will be the only Indian taking part in singles at the Thailand Open Grand Prix Gold to be held at the Thunder Dome here from September 29 to October 4.
Yelegar will open his campaign against Hong Kong ninth seed Ng Ka Long Angus. Apart from Yelegar, quite a few doubles pairs will be participating in the $120,000 tournament taking place in the Thai capital.
Alwin Francis and Arun Vishnu face a tough task right up when they take on Chinese third seeds Li Junhui and Liu Yuchen while the Malaysian pair of Kien Keat Koo and Boon Heong Tan will face M. Anilkumar Raju and Gaurav Venkat in the men's doubles openers.
In mixed doubles, Arun and Aparna Balan will be up against the Indonesian combination of Hendra Aprida Gunawan and Shendy Puspa Irawati while Gaurav and Juhi Dewangan will take on the Japanese pair of Yuki Kaneko and Shizuka Matsuo.
