Tamil actor Simbu, who recently returned from a pilgrimage to Haridwar, says such trips are not undertaken in search of god but to help him find solace away from his busy work schedule.
While shooting for upcoming Tamil comedy "Inga Enna Solludhu" recently, Simbu took few days off to pay a visit to Haridwar.
"If I really want to find god, I can go to any temple and not necessarily to Rishikesh. This trip was more to help me find comfort and inner peace in my life from by busy work life. I believe this was a process of self-realisation and I thoroughly enjoyed it," Simbu told IANS.
"I have also taken special interest in meditation recently. It helps me rediscover myself and find true meaning of life," he added.
Meanwhile, he is busy wrapping up work on his upcoming films "Vaalu" and "Vettai Mannan".
