The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Monday said that the schedule for local bodies (LB) polls in Sindh and Balochistan provinces will be issued Dec 7, Geo News reported.
The ECP has asked the provinces to complete preparations for the LB polls, failing which they would be held accountable for delay.
The local bodies polls are scheduled to be held Jan 18 and Jan 20 in Sindh and Punjab respectively. Though the schedule was to be announced Nov 29 and the ECP had directed the provinces to complete their preparations for the polls Nov 28, they failed to fulfill the legal requirements.
