Attacking Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his demonetisation move, Delhis Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Tuesday said how many more deaths will it take for Modi to realise that poor people were suffering.
Sisodia met the wife of vegetable seller Satish Kumar, 49, who suffere da heart atatck and died on Monday while standing in a long queue outside an ATM.
"Met with the wife of deceased Satish Kumar who died while waiting for his turn in a queue," Sisodia tweeted.
Kumar's wife told Sisodia that there has been no earning since 10-12 days.
"My husband was in the queue for 6 hours and suddenly fainted. He was repeatedly asking to return to village," Kumar's wife told Sisodia.
"Due to your actions, people are dying. How can you claim yourself to be patriotic when poor people are suffering to meet their daily needs," Sisodia tweeted.
"How many more deaths will it take to make you understand that your fake surgical strikes are not harming people with black money but poor people are dying," he said.
Sisodia said Kumar was a victim of "a surgical strike on poor man".
