Six die after inhaling toxic fumes
Six people died and two were taken ill Thursday after inhaling toxic fumes while cleaning a septic tank in West Bengal's Jalpaiguri district, police said.
"Six persons died while two others have been hospitalised after they inhaled toxic fumes while cleaning a septic tank," superintendent of police (Jalpaiguri) Amit Javalgi said.
The incident happened in Rheabari Tea Estate under Banarhat Police Station, nearly 700 km from Kolkata.
