Three women forced into prostitution were Saturday rescued and six people were arrested during a raid at a beauty salon in the Goa capital, police said Saturday.
The women were trafficked from Karnataka, Orissa and Manipur.
A police spokesperson said the raid was conducted at the Priya Salon and Spa, located near a popular city hotel.
"The women were sourced and pushed into prostitution in Goa. The salon was the front for their business," he said.
Dinesh Mishra, the owner of the establishment, is reported to be missing.
Those arrested include patrons of the salon. They have been booked under various sections of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
