Six children were killed on Thursday in a house fire in Ukraine's Odessa region, officials said.
The blaze broke out at a house in Shabo village when the family of a woman and her six kids were sleeping, Xinhua new agency quoted Volodymyr Zhmak, the first vice-governor of Odessa region, as saying in a statement.
The mother ran out to call for help, leaving the children in the house, Zhmak said.
By the time firefighters arrived, it was too late and the roof of the house had collapsed, killing all the six children.
An investigation into the cause of the fire is underway.
