Six killed in a Saudi office attack

Six people were killed and a number of others injured on Thursday when a gunman attacked a government education office in the border city of Jazan, local media reported.

The attacker was arrested, the report said, adding that five victims died at the scene, while the sixth died later in hospital.

It was not immediately known what prompted the shooting, but similar attacks targeting Saudi Arabia since last year were all claimed by the Islamic State militant group.
