Six people were killed Thursday by a mortar attack in Syria's central province of Homs and a roadside bomb in the capital Damascus, state media reported.
The rebel mortar attack on the Ekrima neighbourhood in Homs killed five people and injured 13, Xinhua quoted media reports as saying, adding it also caused damage to nearby houses and shops.
In Damascus, a little girl was killed and 20 people were injured by a roadside bomb near the French Hospital in the Christian-dominated district of Qassa.
Meanwhile, a total of 432 armed rebels surrendered themselves along with their weapons to authorities in the countryside of Damascus after the government promised to pardon those who did so.
