At least six suspected militants and a civilian were killed in a military operation in Pakistan's North Waziristan, the military said Tuesday.
"The killing incident took place this afternoon (Tuesday) during a clearance operation in the area near Dattakhel," Dawn online quoted a spokesman for the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) as saying.
The civilian, who has been killed, was a supplier of materials for the armed forces.
Dattakhel is considered to be a stronghold of terrorists and a clearance operation is under way in the area.
Military operation Zarb-i-Azb was launched by the Pakistan Army June 15 following a brazen militant attack on Karachi's international airport and failure of peace talks between the government and Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) negotiators.
