Smith scores third century, Australia 389/7 at luch

Skipper Steven Smith scored his third consecutive century in the series to help Australia reach 389 for seven at lunch on day two of the third Test match against India at the Melbourne Cricket Ground here Saturday.

Smith continued his stupendous batting form to remain unbeaten on 128, accompanied by Ryan Harris (batting at 10) in the morning session on day two.

Brad Haddin (55) was the first wicket to fell Saturday, picked up by seamer Mohammed Shami, while Mitchell Johnson (28) was dismissed by spinner Ravichandran Ashwin.
