A 34-year-old software engineer committed suicide by consuming poison in his home, police said Friday.
The body of Anil Purshottam was discovered by his mother Friday morning inside his room at Pandav Nagar area in east Delhi, with froth coming out of the mouth, police said.
Purshottam was in distress due to his poor financial condition, his mother told police.
She also said that they had dinner Thursday night and Purshottam went to his room for sleep.
Police said no suicide note was found.
