A soldier was abducted and killed by militants in Jammu and Kashmir on Thursday, police said.
Police said the body of Aurangzeb, who had been abducted by militants in Shopian, was found in Pulwama district.
The soldier, belonging to 44 Rashtriya Rifles, had boarded a private vehicle to reach Shopian where from he was supposed to go to his home in Rajouri district for Eid celebrations.
Sources here said the soldier was part of the army team that had killed top Hizbul Mujahideen commander, Sameer Tiger, on April 30.
