The Delhi government has admitted that a few members of the Aam Aadmi Party were getting benefits like official house and cars.
This was revealed by the government in a reply to BJP legislator O.P. Sharma's question in the Delhi assembly on Tuesday.
The government said these members were appointed as co-terminus staff with it.
Bibhav Kumar, private secretary to Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, and Aswathi Muralidharan, joint secretary to the chief minister, have been allotted houses.
The salary of these people, who are in the grade pay of Rs.8,700, is equivalent to senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers, the government said.
Apart from 17 co-terminus staff, eight contractual staff have been hired and get a salary of Rs.60,000 to Rs.1.15 lakh.
