The national capital got some relief from the scorching heat Saturday with the maximum temperature settling at 38 degrees Celsius - two notches below the season's average. The Met Office expects similar weather on Sunday.
"The day was partly cloudy and humid with the maximum humidity during the day touching 70 percent. An overcast sky is expected Sunday," an India Meteorological Department (IMD) official said.
Maximum and minimum temperatures Sunday are expected to be around 39 and 27 degrees Celsius, the IMD official added.
The minimum temperature early Saturday settled a notch below average at 26.7 degrees Celsius. Humidity recorded at 8.30 a.m. was 69 percent.
Friday's maximum temperature was 40.6 degrees Celsius - average for this time of the year, while the minimum settled three notches below average at 24.8 degrees Celsius.
