Actor Sooraj Thapar, who shares a close bond with the cast of his TV show "Hum Paanch Phir Se", says he wants the new version of the popular comedy show "Hum Paanch" to go on for long.
The show's cast includes names like Vaishnavi Macdonalds, Jayashree Venkataramanan, Ambalika Sapra and Seema Pandey.
"My girls treat me the same way off screen, and honestly I am happy about it. We bond with each other very well and not to miss that these girls are extremely talented and excel in their character beautifully. I wish this madness onset continues forever because I have started living this life now," Sooraj said in a statement.
"Hum Paanch Phir Se" is aired on BIG Magic.
"Hum Paanch" first aired in 1995 and ran until 1999. With actors Ashok Saraf, Priya Tendulkar, Rakhee Tandon, Bhairavi Raichura, Vandana Pathak and Vidya Balan. The show narrated the story of a family in a hilarious way. It's second season came in 2005.
Sooraj is portraying the role of the father named Anand Mathur.
Talking about his role, the actor said: "I am a foodie and usually get a lot of food on set as I have a habit of munching in between shoot breaks. The food bag is not only for me but for the unit as well.
"But my onscreen daughters, just as their characters, don't let me smell my food. During the lunch or supper break, before I reach my green room, these girls finish up my food, which makes me realise that I am Anand Mathur off screen as well."
