Special session of Goa assembly called to ratify GST bill

Goa Governor Mridula Sinha on Thursday convened a special one-day assembly session on May 9 to ratify the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Bill, 2017, a government spokesperson said.

"The special session will be held on May 9 to ratify the GST Bill, 2017," the spokesperson said.

The Parliament had on April 6 had passed four legislation to clear the deck for the implementation of the GST by July this year.
