SpiceJet will operate a special flight on the Kolkata- Bagdogra-Kolkata route on Saturday to help tourists stranded in West Bengal's hill town of Darjeeling, the airlines said in a release on Friday.
SpiceJet will be operating its Q400 aircraft for this special flight SG9371, which will leave Kolkata at 4.55 p.m. and reach Bagdogra at 6.15 p.m. It will depart Bagdogra at 6.35 p.m. and arrive in Kolkata at 7.55 p.m.
This special flight will be in addition to the daily direct flight which SpiceJet operates on this route, the airlines said.
Thousands of tourists have been stranded at various points of northern West Bengal's hills including Darjeeling following unrest sparked by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha's fresh movement for a separate state of Gorkhaland.
