Sresta Natural Bioproducts, one of India's largest organic food companies, Monday announced "Freedom from pesticides", an eight-day campaign against pesticide ridden food.
The campaign from Aug 12 to 19 aims to create awareness about ill effects of pesticide contaminated food and promote organic food as the best alternative for being healthy.
Organic farming practices, restore soil purity, enhance soil aeration and water retention capacity and thereby are the optimal way to assert commitment to the ecosystem, said Sresta, promoters of leading organic brand '24Mantra' products.
During the campaigm, 24 Mantra organic products will be available to the consumers at 30 percent less.
Organic food is generally perceived to be 30 percent more expensive than other food. Hence the offering to make more consumers trial the product, experience the difference and enjoy a healthy life, said Rajashekhar Reddy, managing director, Sresta.
"This campaign's focus is to support the organic movement which benefits the entire eco system - soil, water, food and ultimately the consumer. India, as a country celebrates purity and wholesomeness which is the core of organic," said N. Balasubramanian, CEO, Sresta.
