The Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) on Tuesday issued summons against St.Stephen's College principal Valson Thampu and chemistry teacher Satish Kumar in connection with the molestation case of a research scholar, informed sources said.

"Thampu and Kumar had been issued summons by DCW. Both have to appear before the commission on August 19," the source told IANS.

The research scholar at Delhi University had accused professor Kumar of sexually harassing her during the course of her PhD work. She had also released a voice recording about a purported conversation with Thampu and Kumar and alleged that the principal was seeking to protect the professor while trying to dissuade her from filing a complaint.
