Malay folklore will be depicted on a new stamp collection to be launched by Malaysian postal services Monday.

According to the postal service or Pos Malaysia, the "Malay Folk Stories" collection features six legends - Hang Tuah, Mahsuri, Tun Teja, Merong Mahawangsa, Tun Kudu and Tun Fatimah, The Malaysian Star reported.

"We hope that these stamp images and their stories encourage the public to learn more about our own history," Pos Malaysia said in a press statement Friday.
