Brazil's Atletico Mineiro striker Diego Tardelli has warned Bayern Munich that his team has nothing to fear at next month's FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco.
The Copa Libertadores and UEFA Champions League winners are favorites to meet in the tournament's final in Marrakesh Dec 21, Xinhua reported.
"Bayern Munich have some great players but so do we," Tardelli said Saturday. "Our own desire will decide if we can make it to the final.
"We are going to have to take responsibility. Everything that they have there, we also have here. There isn't much difference."
Tardelli, who has won five international caps for Brazil, said Atletico had drawn inspiration from fellow Brazilian side Corinthians, who upset Chelsea 1-0 in the final of last year's tournament.
"Corinthians proved last year that anything is possible," the 28-year-old said. "I am confident that we can bring back the trophy."
Atletico hope to include two-time FIFA world Player Of The Year Ronaldinho in their squad for the 10-day competition.
The 33-year-old has not played since September due to a torn left adductor muscle.
The Club World Cup features each of FIFA's six continental champions plus the host nation's league winners, Raja Casablanca.
