Berlin, April 22 (IANS) Christian Gentner and Vedad Ibisevic scored against Freiburg to wrap up a 2-1 victory for Stuttgart while bottom side Greuther Fuerth stunned Nuremberg 1-0 to close the 30th round of German Bundesliga.
Stuttgart wrapped their third consecutive win owing to their clinical chance conversion against Freiburg who wasted the opportunity to close in on a Champions League play off spot, reports Xinhua.
Stuttgart climb from 12th to 10th place whereas Freiburg stay in 5th position.
In the other match Sunday, bottom side Greuther Fuerth carved out a surprising 1-0 win over Nuremberg to seal their second win of the season. Johannes Geis scored the only goal of the match with a stunning shot from 25 metres.
Nevertheless, Greuther Fuerth will be relegated to the second league at the end of the season while Nuremberg slump from 11th to 12th position.
