Ivorian international Geoffroy Serey Die has joined German football club Stuttgart from Swiss side FC Basel until June 2017.
Serey Die joins the German Bundesliga side with immediate effect, Stuttgart confirmed in an official statement Monday, reports Xinhua.
The Ivorian midfielder, who is currently at the African Cup of Nations, put pen to paper on a deal until June 2017.
"We appreciate the commitment of Serey Die. He is an internationally experienced player who will quickly find his way in a new environment to give our game more stability. With him, we have found an experience player who will be an example for our young players," Stuttgart chairman Robin Dutt said.
The 30-year-old midfielder played the last two years with Swiss champions FC Basel where he scored three goals in 68 official matches.
Serey received the jersey number 26.
