A sudden change in weather was witnessed across Delhi-NCR on Wednesday afternoon with dark clouds appearing in the sky as the weather office issued a warning of 50-60 kmph winds hitting the region.
"Thunderstorm with rain and strong winds would occur over the National Capital Region, including Bhiwani, Rohtak, Jajjar, Jind over the next hour," an India Meteorological Department official said.
He added that a spell of very light rain accompanied with gusty winds would sweep across Delhi and NCR.
The weather office warned people to exercise caution and not expose themselves to the inclement weather.
Similar weather conditions have been prevailing across various parts of the country, including several spells of duststorms over the last few days.
On May 2 night, over 100 people were killed during dust storms and lightning strikes that hit parts of Uttar Pradesh and Rajasthan.
