The city witnessed a sunny Friday as the maximum temperature settled a notch above the season's average at 35.2 degrees Celsius. Similar weather is in store Saturday, the Met office said.
"The skies will remain clear tomorrow (Saturday) as well and the maximum and minimum temperatures will hover around 35 and 25 degrees Celsius," said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Friday's minimum temperature was 25.3 degrees - average for this time of the year while the maximum humidity was recorded at 69 percent.
Thursday's minimum temperature was 25.4 degrees Celsius, average for this time of year, while the maximum was 35.6 degrees Celsius, a notch above the season's average.
Since the arrival of the monsoon, the city has recorded 781.4 mm of rainfall.
