New Delhi, May 12 (IAN) It was a sunny Thursday morning here with the minimum temperature at 26.5 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
Light rain was likely to occur in some parts of national capital, an official of the IMD said.
'The sky will remain partly cloudy throughout the day with haze likely to occur in the morning or evening. Light rain or thunderstorm is also likely to occur in the evening or night,' the IMD official said.
According to the Met office, the maximum temperature is likely to hover around 40 degrees Celsius.
The humidity at 8.30 a.m. was 62 percent, the official said.
Wednesday's maximum temperature settled at 38.4 degrees Celsius, one notch below the season's average, while the minimum temperature was recorded at 24.0 degrees Celsius, one notch below season's average.
