Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Sushma Swaraj Tuesday met US Vice President Joe Biden and discussed the issue of H1B visas given to professionals.
"I had a very good meeting with Mr Joe Biden Vice President United States of America this afternoon," Swaraj said on her Twitter account.
"Amongst other issues, I raised the issue of Totalization agreement and H1B Visa to Indian professionals," the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader said.
H-1B is the US visa for high-skilled foreign labour. The US recently passed a bill that overhauls the H1B provision, severely impacting Indian tech firms operating in the US such as Infosys, Wipro, TCS and Satyam Mahindra.
Vice President Biden arrived in India Monday on a four-day visit aimed at boosting bilateral strategic ties.
