Bihar's Swasti Nitya, 12, clinched the 'Acting Ka Keeda' trophy as the winner of the second season of children's acting talent hunt TV show "India's Best Dramebaaz" on Sunday night. She said she was happy to have her family's support.
Talking to IANS after her win, Swasti, who noted she was very happy, said that the most memorable moment for her in the show was when her name was announced as the winner, and that she was elated that her family had come down from Bihar to attend the finale.
The girl, who hails from Bhagalpur and has been acting in plays from the age of 4, was pitted against Vansh Maheshwari, Parth Mehta, Kartikey Malviya, Tamanna Dipak and Jaskaran Narula to get the top spot.
Swasti got a cheque of Rs.500,000, and other goodies along with the trophy.
The glitzy finale of the Zee TV show saw the presence of actor-comedian Kapil Sharma and singer Mika Singh, who added some rib-tickling humour to the episode.
Television stars Ravi Dubey and Rithvik Dhanjani also lent a dash of fun and humour as hosts of the show.
Celebrity judges Sonali Bendre, Vivek Oberoi and Sajid Khan gave away the trophy to Swasti, who earned accolades and appreciation since the beginning of the show for having a command on the craft at such an early age.
Right since the audition rounds in which she left the judges speechless with her performance of Rani Mukerji's iconic deaf and mute character from "Black" to effortlessly pulling off all the acts be it her stints as Paro, Sudha Chandran, Abhimanyu, Duryodhan, Parvati, or a Gujarati lover -- Swasti had been touching the right chords.
The finale marked the end of the journey for 16 'dramebaazes', who came to compete on the show in December.
