The toll due to swine flu in Odisha has risen to five after a woman succumbed to the viral disease in the state, an official said on Tuesday.
The 56-year-old woman, hailing from Aska in Ganjam district, was admitted to a private hospital in Bhubaneswar, where she succumbed to the disease, said public health department director Kailash Dash.
"The woman was admitted in a private hospital on February 25. She was put on ventilator following critical condition. The patient had kidney problems," he said.
The woman had spent around one month in north India, where she got affected by the disease.
Out of 94 people tested so far in the state, 14 have tested positive for swine flu, the official said.
