The 40th Power-lifting Senior Nationals held in Goa earlier this week have come under the doping cloud after used syringes were found in the toilets at the venue.
Secretary of the national association of power-lifters Bhaskar Mitra Saturday confirmed that at least a dozen syringes were found in the toilets at the multi-discipline sports complex in Margao, 35 km from here.
"We cannot say for sure that it's doping. It could be used for vitamins as well," said Mitra.
Syringes are often used to pump in performance enhancing substances by players before sporting events.
The matter will be investigated, the official said.
